Mental Health Services

Mental Health Services (MHS) serves as the primary mental health resource for students and the entire campus community at GW. MHS supports students' mental health and personal development by collaborating directly with students to overcome difficulties and challenges that may interfere with their academic, emotional and personal success.

Services on Mount Vernon Campus

Students can access routine services by coming into the Foggy Bottom Mental Health Services location (Colonial Health Center - Marvin Center, Ground Floor), where they will consult with a member of the clinical team and make a plan for the services needed. All following seesions can be attended on the Mount Vernon Campus. If there is an urgent need for care, students can come into the Mount Vernon Campus location without an appointment to received support. MVC Services include:

  • Consultations with concerned community members

Report a Concern

Report a concern through the CARE Network, an anonymous system for any member of the GW community to provide information about a student of concern. Through a university-wide, cross-functional network of professionals, the CARE Network will identify and respond to students needing academic, social or other university resources in order to help support them throughout their time at GW.
